Launching a coin

The form, the fixed settings, the dev buy, the five steps, what it costs.

The form#

FieldRule

Tickerrequired, A–Z and 0–9, 2 to 10
Descriptionoptional, up to 500 characters; the team writes the rest
Imageoptional, PNG / JPG / GIF / WebP, 1 MB max, square looks best; otherwise the initial on the plate

Dev buynone, or 0.005 / 0.025 / 0.05 / 0.1 ETH, or any amount up to 2.5 — bought in the launch transaction, so you are the first buyer
Slippage5 / 10 / 20%, used only with a dev buy: the fewest tokens you accept

Fixed, only shown#

pairing ETH on Pons (HIREHOOD pairing when the token is live and approved by Pons)
creator fee 1% of every trade, on the curve and after graduation → HIREHOOD's vault
supply 1,000,000,000, minted once by Pons, no further minting · 18 decimals

The five steps#

  1. Upload. The details are stored and the coin's page exists at /launchpad/<ticker>.
  2. Build and simulate. The launch is simulated on Robinhood Chain. If it fails you never see a signature request.
  3. Sign. Your wallet signs one transaction: Pons's launch fee plus your dev buy.
  4. Confirm. If it fails nothing is created and you only pay the network fee.
  5. Listed. The server reads the receipt — sent by you, to the pad, with the pad's Launched event at 100 bps — and lists the coin. The team is assigned.

What it costs#

launch fee 0.0005 ETH to Pons
dev buy what you chose, spent on your own curve, coins to your wallet
gas a few cents at ~0.24 gwei
HIREHOOD fee none — there is no other fee; the creator fee is paid by traders, not by you
