Running it yourself

Local setup, environment variables, tests, deploying to Vercel.

Local#

git clone <repo> hirehood && cd hirehood
npm install
cp .env.example .env.local # fill SESSION_SECRET at least
npm run dev # http://localhost:3031, embedded Postgres in ./data
npm test # unit tests
cd contracts && forge test # fork tests against Robinhood Chain (RH_RPC to point elsewhere)

Environment#

SESSION_SECRET 32+ random chars
DATABASE_URL Neon Postgres; blank = embedded PGlite
NEXT_PUBLIC_RPC_URL browser RPC (publicnode)
RPC_URL server RPC: the official node, which answers eth_getLogs
NEXT_PUBLIC_PAD HirehoodPad address
NEXT_PUBLIC_HIREHOOD_TOKEN the platform token; unset = studio locked
NEXT_PUBLIC_AGENT_MIN studio gate in whole tokens (default 0.5% of supply)
OPERATOR_KEY the fee-round signer (the pad's operator); fund it with ETH
CRON_SECRET shared with the scheduler
ANTHROPIC_API_KEY the studio and the desk
NEXT_PUBLIC_SITE_URL canonical origin

Deploying#

Vercel, Hobby is enough: the app, the daily backstop cron, the Neon database. The 15-minute clock is a GitHub Actions workflow with FEES_URL and CRON_SECRET as secrets. Deploy the pad with Foundry (forge create or cast send --create) passing the Pons factory and the operator address, then set NEXT_PUBLIC_PAD.
